Marine Park & Finish Line
Fairhaven Cove
These cameras shouldn't be temporary.
The Marine Park cameras live on the Osprey nesting pole, the tall pole at the Ski to Sea finish line. Right now they run on a temporary power and network setup. We want to make that permanent.
The ask: we're petitioning the Port of Bellingham to install a permanent conduit for power and data to the Osprey pole, so the cameras can stay year round.
The bonus: the same conduit could host an Osprey cam during nesting season, so people can watch the raptors when they return in spring.
The webcams are run by the Bellingham Bay Community Boating Center. Internet to the cameras is donated by PogoZone and NeuBeam. Streaming is paid hosting at Brownrice Internet, which is where your donations go. Cameras live on Port property by permission, and we want to put that permission on solid ground.
Tell us how you use the cameras and we'll bring every voice to the Port in person.
Tell the Port why the cameras matter
Takes about 30 seconds. Approved responses appear on the wall below and go to the Port with the petition.
What Bellingham is saying
Keep the cameras on.
The Boating Center has a dedicated webcam fund. Connectivity is donated by PogoZone and NeuBeam, but the streaming bill at Brownrice is real. Every dollar keeps the streams running.
